"Feel the fear and do it anyway!" In an open and interesting interview, the London-based yoga blogger tells us why Jen's (@blessedyoga) life motto was already confirmed in the interview and through which role model she discovered her fascination with yoga.
I only started yoga 3 months before my yoga teacher training. I always had this fascination for yoga, because my grandma was a yogi and I remember her teaching me as a child. I enrolled for the teacher training although I had no experience and immediately fell in love with yoga. Now I have been practicing for two and a half years.
I practice Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Rocket.
I love to practice to acoustic music in a warm room.
I fell in love with the philosophy and history of yoga. In my everyday life I try to be mindful and to meet people without prejudice and with love. Practicing has helped me to become a more understanding, calm and friendly person.
Yoga has made me more aware of the transience of life. It has taught me patience, awareness and non-judgement. It has also helped me to maintain a healthy mind and body!
I think people are beginning to understand how important it is to find time for themselves. to show kindness to our bodies and just breathe. The world is becoming such an overwhelming place where we are flooded with information.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Bath. I have also completed the 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training at the Floating Yoga School.
I've been teaching for a year and a half, mainly private lessons. However, I am also allowed to instruct at a members' club called Mortimer House, in London.
Feel the fear and do it anyway.
2019 was a year of stabilisation for me. Now I want to push 2020 out of my comfort zone and think less and do more instead.
I would like to open my own yoga studio and start my own small family.
Be patient and consistent! I'm not comparing with others. Remember that everything is about the journey and not the destination.
My favorite LUVIYO mat is the All-In-One Black Marble Mat. I like to do my restorative yin practice on it!😍
