Find out now in the interview with Rebekka why she started practicing yoga in Abu Dhabi and what prompted the feminist living in Palma to even complete her yoga teacher training last year.

Dear Rebekka, how long have you been doing yoga and how did you get into it?
My journey to Yin Yoga began in 2013 in Abu Dhabi, where I lived for six years. While establishing a new life abroad, yoga became a source of strength and the best mental support.
Do you practice any other sports besides yoga?
Yes, I dance every day. Not in any particular style, but I do it because dancing makes my heart sing, awakens my body, and recharges my batteries.
I am also fascinated by the discipline and finesse of ballet. Nowhere else do I see so much artistry, passion, and maximum physical commitment as in ballet.
Whenever possible, I love to go climbing. Climbing is a passion for me; it allows me to calm my mind in a different way than yoga. You have to think ahead with every step and then use your energy wisely to reach the summit. I'm often completely exhausted at the top, but happy to have made it.

How often do you practice yoga?
Yoga is my sanctuary – my refuge when I realize that my body and mind are no longer in harmony. That's why I regularly incorporate the practice into my daily routine.
Has yoga changed your outlook on life?
Yes. Yoga slows me down and I trust in the natural flow of life. This makes me very relaxed in stressful situations, I don't make hasty decisions, and I rarely lose my temper.
Which yoga teacher training courses have you already completed?
I have a classical yoga teacher training, a specialization in Yin Yoga, and a personal trainer certification to gain a deeper understanding of human anatomy. This knowledge is also crucial in yoga, allowing me to tailor my approach to each individual participant.
Last year I started my training to become an EYP - Embodied Yoga Principles Teacher.

Who are your yoga classes/retreats aimed at and where do they take place?
Generally, anyone can participate in my courses and retreats. However, they are specifically designed for women to create a strong feminine atmosphere. Women can create an incredibly energetic environment together.
What did you study and what do you do for a living now?
I originally studied auditing and taxation. Later, I also studied political science. I worked in this field for 15 years until I made yoga my profession 7 years ago.
Is there a motto you live by that you'd like to share with us?
MOYOCOYOTZIN. That's ancient Aztec and means: "The woman who creates herself."

What do you wish for in the future, in the next 10 years?
That every woman has the opportunity to live her feminine independence and that feminism exists without justification. Because big, strong, soft girls know one thing: "Never ever explain yourself."
Is there anything else you would like to tell LUVIYO?
I hope LUVIYO becomes known in every corner of the world. Because they demonstrate that modern design can be sustainable, long-lasting, and ethically produced.
